GP Services for Island Medical Centre

The contract to run your GP surgery is coming to an end and we need to put in place another contract to ensure that services continue. NHS North East London need to appoint a provider of GP services at your surgery for this new contract. The new contract may or may not be with the current organisation.

This process does not mean that your practice will close or that you will need to find a new doctor. NHS North East London will make sure that your GP services continue uninterrupted.

We will do this by running a formal selection or ‘tendering’ process, which will result in awarding either a new organisation or the existing organisation with a contract to manage your surgery for the next 5 to 15 years. As part of this, we are asking patients and others for their views on the services currently provided.

It is a legal requirement that we run this selection process in a fair and transparent way, and we want to ensure that any decisions made are in the best interests of patients, staff and taxpayers. This survey seeks to find out how important certain aspects of your GP practice are to you to inform the selection process.

Who should complete the survey?

The questions should be answered by the person who received the letter from NHS North East London. If that person needs help completing the survey, please ensure the answers recorded are those of the individual and not those of the person who is helping them.

For each question please tick clearly inside the box that best represents your views using a black or blue pen. Don’t worry if you make a mistake; simply cross out the mistake and put a tick in the correct box. Please do not write your name or address anywhere on the survey.

We will share the findings of your completed surveys and our conversations with you and we will let you know the outcome of the selection process in the following ways:
